THINKING DAY POSTCARD EXCHANGE

We wrote most of our postcards over the last 2 weeks which we are sending to Guides in other countries for Thinking day on 22nd February.

PLEASE make sure you have posted your card and badge this weekend as many have a long way to go to reach the Guides & Girl Scouts we have written to.

The postcards & badges which they have sent to us are now beginning to arrive and we will hand them out on 22nd February - when we celebrate Thinking Day.

 CAMPING!!!

We have 2 great opportunities for camping this summer -
County Camp
will be held from 11th – 13th May at Auchengillan Outdoor Centre near Blanefield.  Cost will be £45 and this includes all food and a weekend of excellent activities.
If you would like to come, please bring your £45 by the end of February and we will send you the form with the activity choices.

Ayrwaves is a camp for those Guides looking for something a bit more challenging.  It is an International Camp being held in Ayrshire from Wednesday 25th July for 7 nights.  The camp is huge and will have guides from Canada, USA, Japan, Australia and many other countries taking part.  The Cost of just under £200 includes a huge variety of activities including abseiling, water sports, crafts, day trips etc.
Please don't let the cost put you off as we will be fundraising to help with this camp..

CHRISTMAS OUTING

Our Christmas Outing to ski at Hillend was great fun - we had 45 guides most of whom had never skied before so it was hectic getting everyone's skis, helmets and boots on in the short time we had.

Well done to the girls who managed to use the tows after just an hours lesson...

3 Guides, Lucy B, Sophie S and Eva D made their promise at the end of the evening.
